The Challenge at Hand

Burnout, resilience, and a patient’s fight for recovery—this is a story about the challenges we face in healthcare, the impact of our environment and culture on health, and the power of compassion and connection. Despite the growing burden of chronic disease and caregiver burnout, there’s hope: simple changes in lifestyle and systemic shifts can make a difference. Let’s work together to transform the way we approach health, both as individuals and as a community.

Building a Future of Longevity

“What are the fundamentals that sustain a flourishing society, one that promotes happiness, progress, peace, and well-being among its members?”

This question was posed in an article I read by Todd Christopherson several years ago while on a trip to Glacier National Park.

Longevity: Investing in Your Future

While driving home from Lake Powell this week, my three older boys and I discussed personal financial planning.  I advised them about living within a budget, creating a career to general income, insurance, investing in the future, and leaving a legacy.  I even quoted Warren Buffet, “The best investment you can make is an investment in yourself… the more you learn, the more you’ll earn!”

Mindful Movement

After back surgery, patients historically have been repeatedly instructed not to bend, lift, or twist.  Several years ago, in our morning conferences we challenged this idea.  Specifically, we studied literature that indicated fear of movement was associated with poor outcomes. However, there is clearly a need for care to be taken to allow proper healing without causing injury.

Thank You for Being Part of Our Community: Trusting us with your care is a privilege we don't take lightly. As we embark on this journey of continuous engagement and support, we're reminded of our mission to provide outcomes that give you your life back.
